JEE Main Exam Pattern 2025: The JEE Main 2025 exam will be held in two sessions by the National Testing Agency (NTA): one in January and another in April. Understanding the exam pattern is key for good preparation. The exam will be held in two shifts, morning and evening, and includes three papers: Paper 1 (B.E/B.Tech), Paper 2A (B.Arch), and Paper 2B (B.Planning). The pattern is mostly the same for both sessions, with slight differences between Paper 1 and Paper 2.

The JEE Main 2025 exam pattern covers test duration, marking scheme, subjects, and total marks. The exam consists of 90 questions worth a total of 300 marks. Each subject has 20 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) and 10 numerical value questions (NVQs). Candidates need to answer only five out of the 10 NVQs.

JEE Main Exam Paper Pattern 2025 Highlights

The JEE Main exam for 2025 consists of Paper 1, which is for admission to undergraduate engineering programs and serves as an eligibility test for JEE Advanced, and Paper 2, which is for admission to B.Arch. and B.Planning courses. Paper 1 includes questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, with 90 questions in total.

Candidates are required to attempt 75 questions out of the 90, with a different marking scheme for MCQs and numerical questions.
